Located on the northern tip of LBK, Beer Can Island is best accessed by boat or an ambitious trek on foot.  A fun, weekend party favorite for locals with boats, you can find dozens of them moored off the beach on holidays.  No lifeguards or public facilities.

Just south of Beer Can Island and stretching down to about the 6600 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive, access to Whitney Beach is tucked away in a tight residential area.  Only 3 of the 4 access points offer parking.

Longboat Beach​​

Extending from about the 2800 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive north to about the 6600 block.  Eight public access points offer limited parking, so arrive early on peak days.  No life guards or public facilities.
